Ms. Latif, left, is a Master's student in immunology at the University of Alberta in Edmonton, Canada. Dr. Bhavsar is an assistant professor and Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in the Department of Medical Microbiology & Immunology at the University of Alberta. Research in the Bhavsar laboratory is undertaken, in part, thanks to funding from the Canada Research Chairs Program. Our group studies the pharmacogenomics of cisplatin-induced ototoxicity in childhood cancer patients and is also supported by funding from the Li Ka Shing Institute of Virology and the generous support of the Stollery Children's Hospital Foundation through the Women and Children's Health Research Institute.
