The article describes the essence of the concept of «social integration» in educational and scientific aspects. The problems of social integration of persons with disabilities at different stages of their development have been studied on the basis of analysis and generalization of specific literature and documentary materials. Regularities of the process of social adaptation, social rehabilitation and social inclusion as the constituents of social integration of people with disabilities have been analyzed. The role of adaptive physical culture in the implementation of social integration of people with disabilities has been defined.
