Developed a 36-item Catalan-language scale for the assessment of susceptibility to punishment (which the author appends) and administered it to 96 males (mean age 19.77 yrs) and 103 females (mean age 19.54 yrs) who were 2nd-yr students in a Spanish School of Medicine. Measures of impulsiveness, venturesomeness, empathy, and introversion were also obtained from these Ss. Results show orthogonality of susceptibility to punishment and impulsiveness and high negative correlations between susceptibility to punishment and venturesomeness. It is concluded that this scale is a good starting point in the development of a valid measure for the anxiety axis in humans postulated by JA Gray (1970, 1976, 1982).(8 ref)(PsycInfo Database Record (c) 2020 APA, all rights reserved)
