Cortical auditory evoked potentials (CAEPs) have been successfully used to explore the
effects of noise on speech processing at the cortical level in adults and children. The
purpose of this study was to determine whether+ 15 dB signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs), often
recommended for optimal speech perception in children, elicit higher amplitude CAEPs than
