Central to issues surrounding the origin of euprimates, affinities of Paleocene Carpolestidae
have been controversial. Carpolestids have been classified as plesiadapoid primates,
tarsiiform euprimates, dermopterans, or the sister taxon of euprimates to the exclusion of
