Medical investigators have indicated that carrier-free 67 Ga may be an important
radionuclide for locating and imaging certain tumors. This radionuclide has been produced
in 100-mCi quantities in the ORNL 86-in. Cyclotron under conditions obtainable with
commercial cyclotrons. Production yields, problems, and a chemical-separation procedure
from natural zinc-targets are presented.
