This book presents the findings & recommendations of the UN Millennium Project to achieve
the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). It describes the importance of the MDGs and
gives an explanation of the progress. The book provides recommendations to be
implemented at the country level.

The UN Millennium Project has been a unique undertaking. Its 10 task forces, Secretariat,
and broad array of participants from academia, government, UN agencies, international
