Simulation and assessment of urbanization impacts on runoff metrics: insights from landuse changes
Urbanization-induced landuse changes alter runoff regimes in complex ways. In this study, a
detailed investigation of the urbanization impacts on runoff regimes is provided by using
multiple runoff metrics and with consideration of landuse dynamics. A catchment
hydrological model is modified by coupling a simplified flow routing module of the urban
drainage system and landuse dynamics to improve long-term urban runoff simulations.
