Objective The aim of this review was to evaluate the properties of chitosan for an application
in dental implantology. Methods Electronic Databases: PubMed, Google Scholar, Scopus,
were used to recherche the articles published from 2010 to 2021. The keywords used were:
chitosan, biocompatible, antibacterial, osseointegration, implant, bioactive. After a carefully
