A switched-capacitor (SC) PMIC is presented that achieves up to a 6.6-bit resolution with
only 5 flying capacitors for inductive PMIC replacement. The flying capacitors are reused in a
frequency-scaled gear train as well as charge-feedback SC topologies to attain a 2.4×
reduction in capacitors number compared to prior art. In 0.25 μm bulk, the PMIC operates
