A simple approach to heterojunctions
A simple method is proposed for studying heterojunctions. First, it is shown that a dipole
barrier is induced when the charge neutrality points of both semiconductors do not coincide.
The interface is analysed including the effects of this dipole and the many-electron
interaction. Good agreement is found with available information.
