Forkortet.Interpretation of aeromagnetic and gravity data from Finnmark and North Tromshas resulted in a new map of depth to Precambrian basement. The integratedinterpretation of the data shows that the Seiland Igneous Province lies withina depression in the Caledonian allochthon and subjacent basement, to thesoutheast of which is an arcuate, elongate domal structure that includes thetectonic window of Raipas Supergroup rocks. The Seiland plutonic rocks occurdown to a depth of 7-8 km and define a gently NW-dipping disc-shaped body inthe highest part of the Kalak Nappe Complex. The southwestern part of theAlta-Kvænangen window is essentially authochthonous but some thrusting can bedetected in the northeast. Further to the northeast, the Raipas rocks in thewindows are more and more allochthonous and have yielded evidence of Scandiangreenschists-facies metamorphism. In the Repparfjord-Komagfjord area theydefine an antiformal structure of stacked thrust-sheets.
