and to find out the factors that cause difficulty speaking in these children. The type of
research used by researchers is descriptive qualitative research. Data analysis techniques
in this study are data collection, data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The
subjects in this study were MS, a 10-year-old child who had difficulty speaking, parents,

The subjects in this study were MS, a 10-year-old child who had difficulty speaking, parents, teachers, and the people closest to the respondent. The results showed that:(1) children aged 10 years had difficulty speaking;(2) Factors that can affect children's speaking difficulties can come from internal factors and external factors. Internal factors include inferiority, lack of confidence in children, feeling anxious, afraid, and afraid of being wrong. The factors that come from outside are from the environment, family, lack of interaction with other people, and always being ridiculed by friends.(3) Efforts to overcome children's speech difficulties, namely by giving new words every day, children are often invited to communicate, children are also often invited to read books or illustrated stories, always correct the child's wrong speech, when the wrong word is If this is justified, try to always repeat the word until the child pronounces the word correctly. When the child has said the right word, don't ignore it, always give a response and praise to the child. This study concluded that the factors that can influence speech difficulties in children are internal factors and external factors. In addition, the child not only has difficulties in speaking but he also experiences difficulties and obstacles in the learning process, if the learning outcomes in the form of assignments at home the child gets a high score while the assignments carried out at school the child gets a low score then in addition have difficulty speaking also experience delays in learning.
