Abstract
For achieving the learning objectives of Islamic Education (PAI), there are several influencing factors. These factors are curriculum factors, teachers, methods, learning models, facilities and student circumstances. Various problems arise in PAI learning so that PAI becomes less than optimal in achieving its goals. This research is to examine the various difficulties and problems experienced by PAI teachers in learning. This research uses a literature study method on research results that are in accordance with the research problem and take credible sources. Analysis of research of data reduction, data display and verification. The first problem is the problem of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP), teachers still have difficulty compiling RPP based on the 2013 curriculum, this is due to the ability of teachers, lack of IT skills, and lack of socialization and training on RPP preparation. The second problem is the difficulty of teachers in choosing and determining suitable learning methods and models in PAI learning. The third problem is the difficulty of the teacher in compiling an authentic assessment-based assessment, especially in the aspect of attitude assessment and too many indicators that must be assessed by the teacher. The fourth problem is the problem of students' basic abilities, the ability to read the Qur'an, learning motivation and psychological factors of students
