Due to the wide power ranges of dc energy sources and loads, many authors have proposed microgrids architectures with multiples dc links for better system integration. In order to control the power flow between dc links with different voltage levels, these architecture demands the development of bidirectional converters with high voltage gain and multiples output ports. To control the power flow between dc links with different voltage levels, this paper proposes the development of an isolated bidirectional converter to integrate a microgrid with two dc links of 380 V and ±48 V. This type of system is commonly named as a bipolar dc microgrid and are used in telecommunications applications and systems like datacenters, therefore the voltage levels are chosen in order to adequate the microgrid to the commercial applications. The main contribution of this paper is to propose a configuration of an Interlink Converter that enables the conception of bipolar microgrids, with three output ports and three wires. Simulation results are presented to demonstrate the proposed concept.
