In this chapter, we first take a look at the definitions and operationalizations of bullying and
victimization, review different forms of harassment, and review some of the theoretical
frameworks used to explain the bullying phenomenon. We then introduce an integrated view
of bullying in context and review findings concerning the characteristics of individual bullies
and victims, as well as the dyadic and group contexts in which bullying occurs. We finish the
