Characteristics of temperature distribution in atmospheric pulsed surface dielectric barrier discharge for ozone production

The temperature field distribution in air SDBD (surface dielectric barrier discharge) is
investigated by measuring the temperatures of reactive plasma volume (T p), electrode (T e)
and gas (T g) using the fiber optic thermometer. Results show that T p is almost the same as
T e, while T g is lower than T p. Both T p and T g follow a first-order model. The temperature
in the area between the boundary of the plexiglass surfaces and the electrodes is higher
than the temperature in the center. The gas flow rate has little effect on T p due to that air …
