proposed. Because the proposed antenna is a flat structure, it has a low profile and a simple
structure that makes it easy to manufacture. The proposed structure covers the GSM (880-
960 MHz), DCS (1710-1880 MHz), PCS (1880-1990 MHz), UMTS (1920-2170 MHz), WiBro

The proposed structure covers the GSM (880-960 MHz), DCS (1710-1880 MHz), PCS (1880-1990 MHz), UMTS (1920-2170 MHz), WiBro (2300-2390 MHz), and Bluetooth (2400-2480 MHz) bands. A stable and omnidirectional radiation pattern with reasonable gains is observed within the operating bandwidth. Simulated scalar electric field distributions and parameter studies are used to analyze the operating principles of the proposed antenna.
