Background: To investigate importance of fasting insulin (FI) as a diagnostic test for insulin
resistance (IR) and to compare with other standard methods McAuley (McA), HOMA and
QUICKI indices in Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Method: 42 diabetic patients who have been
