Immature cotyledons of Brassica napus cv.'Topas' were used to investigate the effects of
various naphthaleneacetic acid and benzylaminopurine concentrations on morphogenesis
in vitro. A high efficiency of adventitious shoot regeneration and somatic embryogenesis was
achieved on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with the above growth
regulators. Two types of somatic embryogenesis were obtained, the first directly and the
second via a callus stage.
Abstract
Immature cotyledons of Brassica napus cv.‘Topas’ were used to investigate the effects of various naphthaleneacetic acid and benzylaminopurine concentrations on morphogenesis in vitro. A high efficiency of adventitious shoot regeneration and somatic embryogenesis was achieved on Murashige and Skoog medium supplemented with the above growth regulators. Two types of somatic embryogenesis were obtained, the first directly and the second via a callus stage.
