Vidanga, Embelia ribes Burm. f.(Myrsinaceae) is a top-traded (> 500 mt/yr) Ayurvedic herb,
which is endangered and in short supply forcing substitutes in the markets. A comparative
anthelmintic study was undertaken between E. ribes and substitutes, E. tsjeriam-cottam
