The trypanocidal efficacy of the aqueous extract of Ficus sycomorus Linn.(Moraceae) stem
bark in adult albino rats experimentally infected with T. brucei brucei was carried out in the
present study. The powdered stem bark was subjected to reflux method of plant extraction
which yielded 19.6 grams w/w. In vitro antitrypanosomal potency was performed using forty
five (45) test tubes divided into groups (AI) of five test tubes each, where test tubes in Groups
