The present study deals with geological studies, geochemical characteristics of Nikeiba

Abstract
The present study deals with geological studies, geochemical characteristics of Nikeiba granites in the south Eastern Desert of Egypt. Field investigation shows that the exposed rock units are represented by metavolcanics, syenogranite, alkali feldspar granite and quartz syenite intruded by felsite and dolerite dikes at study area. Geochemically, the syenogranite, alkali feldspar granite and quartz syenite are enriched in large ion lithophile elements (LILE; Ba, Rb and Sr), high field strength elements (HFSE; Y, Zr and Nb) but decrease in Ce. Moreover, they reveal calcalkaline, metaluminous characteristics and post-collision geochemical signatures, which indicate the emplacement in within-plate environment under extensional anorogenic environment.
