In the power system, consumer satisfaction is the main priority of power producers. To fulfill this priority, the power quality issue is carefully handled by power engineers. Power quality directly depends on the phase and amplitude components of harmonics. To solve power quality it is necessary to exact estimation of phase and amplitude components which helps to design mitigation filters. In the past few years, harmonic estimation is handled by different metaheuristic techniques. In this consequence, we try to handle the harmonic problems by the Atom Search Optimization Algorithm (ASO) in the presence of harmonic signals including inter- and sub-harmonics.
