The results of the state and prospects of pork market development investigation in Ukraine are presented. The state of the pig breeding and supply structure forming on the pork market are described. The results of branch export potential analysis are presented. Main directions of further development of internal and external markets of Ukrainian pork are substantiated. Research showed, that reform changes had a negative impact on the pig raising industry. Country lost the leading position among the world’s pork producers. The priority of conceptual problems to be solved in the near future in order to revive the domestic industry and increase production of high quality pork.
