Abstract
Business-non-profit engagements in the context of corporate responsibility are of growing interest and importance in today’s business world. Not only are companies paying more attention to the area as part of their corporate responsibility agendas, but stakeholders are also demanding for increased attention of the field. As research on the area is still relatively incomplete, the focus on business-non-profit engagements is easily justifiable for the study at hand. The objective of the study is to uncover the strategies and responsibilities of companies in their management of non-profit engagements through two case studies, further extending these to implications relevant also to non-profit organizations. The study reveals how companies organize their non-profit engagements and what they, together with non-profit organizations, can draw from the discussion.
