PURPOSE: High pressures are important in percutaneous transluminal angioplasty,
particularly in hemodialysis access. Although many operators rely on commercially available
inflators, small syringes can deliver high pressures, which might make inflators unnecessary.
Recently introduced polycarbonate (PC) syringes may allow higher pressure delivery than
