Probing Learners' Critical Reading: Reader-Response Activities in an EFL Context

This study is therefore aimed at examining EFL learners' critical reading by way of enquiring
into the way they respond to a reading text. The responses are in form of written responses
focusing on how they relate the textual world of the text with the real sociocultural conditions
they encounter. This research area is fruitful to see the development of critical reading in
EFL context.
