Background: Academic achievement is considered the alarm button that pressed todays in each academic institution. A competent nursing workforce is important for an effective healthcare which intensified by the development of student’s internal locus of control (LOC) Aims: this study aimed to 1-assess the locus of control levels among the nursing students at Damanhour University 2-assess the relation between locus of control and academic achievement among the nursing students, 3-determine the effects of Internal LOC Development Program on the student's academic achievement level.

Design: A quasi experimental study design was adopted to carry out this study. Setting: the study was conducted at Faculty of Nursing Damanhour University.
