Sol−Gel Based Chemical Synthesis of Nd2Fe14B Hard Magnetic Nanoparticles

PK Deheri, V Swaminathan, SD Bhame, Z Liu… - Chemistry of …, 2010 - ACS Publications
Nd2Fe14B hard magnetic nanoparticles were synthesized by chemical synthesis
techniques. Nd− Fe− B gel was prepared using NdCl3· 6H2O, FeCl3· 6H2O, H3BO3, citric
acid, and ethylene glycol (EG) by a Pechini type sol− gel method. This gel was subsequently
annealed to produce mixed oxide powders. Nd2Fe14B nanoparticles were prepared from
these oxides by a reduction− diffusion process. The phase analysis, structure, and magnetic
properties were determined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), nuclear …

Sol–gel-based chemical synthesis of NdFeB hard magnetic nanoparticles

J Zhang, W Wu, F Meng, H Ding, J Dong - Modern Physics Letters B, 2018 - World Scientific
NdFeB nanoparticles were synthesized by a sol–gel method. Firstly, NdFeB gel was
prepared by using citric acid and glycol as the gel, and the corresponding salts of Nd, Fe
and boric acid. The gel was subsequently annealed under a high temperature condition to
obtain NdFeB-oxide phases. Then NdFeB nanoparticles were yielded by reductive
annealing of precursors. Microstructure, phase composition and magnetic properties were
characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope …
