Two-spotted spider mites (TSSM; Tetranychus urticae Koch) cause significant damage to
crops and yields, in the field as well as in greenhouses. By feeding, TSSM destroy
chloroplast-containing cells; this damage can be spectrally detected in the reflectance of the
