Two regional fold sets are described from the Central Carpathian Paleogene flysch
sediments of the Šambron-Kamenica Zone adjacent to the Pieniny Klippen Belt in NE
Slovakia. The F1 folds were generated by regional NS contraction. Macroscopic Fl folds are
arranged in two south-verging antiformal thrust stacks with individual fault-propagation
anticlines reinforced by thick conglomerate bodies. Mac-rofold cores are complicated by
