(+)-Euryfuran adds regiospecifically to activated monosubstituted 1, 4-benzoquinones under
mild conditions to give the corresponding Michael adducts which, depending on the quinone
substituent, undergo in situ redox reactions to the respective euryfurylbenzoquinones. One
