Dielectric elastomer minimum energy structures (DEMES) are soft electronic transducers
and energy harvesters with potential for consumer goods. The temporal change in their
electromechanical properties is of major importance for engineering tasks. Therefore, we
study acrylic DEMES by impedance spectroscopy and by optical methods for a total time
