… Using an FSH cut-off of 40 IU/l, the authors conclude that ‘UAE [uterine artery
embolisation] does not accelerate decline in ovarian function for women below the age of 45,
for up to 1 year after treatment’. This finding they claim ‘is very reassuring as it is this group of
women who may wish to retain their fertility’. Their conclusion implies that fertility is preserved
as long as serum FSH is below 40 IU/l, which is obviously not the case. … The use of AMH
