Abstract
Nasal valve pathology plays a significant role in nasal obstruction. Diagnosing this dysfunction requires a high level of suspicion, especially in patients who have undergone previous rhinoplastic surgery. Since the introduction of spreader grafts, multiple techniques have been added to improve nasal valve patency. Surgical correction stresses the reconstruction of the necessary framework that supports the lateral nasal wall and the dorsum. Choosing the right surgical approach and technique in rhinoplasty plays a major role in the prevention of postrhinoplastic valvular dysfunction.
