Thermal buckling and post-buckling analysis of laminated composite plates with SMA fibers subjected to uniform temperature distribution is presented using non-linear FEM. A 3-D Layerwise theory is employed in developing the system equations using variational approach. The Lagrangian interpolation functions are used to approximate the displacement components along the thickness as well as in the in-plane direction. The pre-buckling stresses are considered in the derivation of the geometric stiffness matrix. An incremental load technique and an incremental displacement technique using Newton-Raphson method are adopted to obtain thermal buckling temperature. The results are compared with the existing results in the literature.
