Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic painful arthritis with increasing global prevalence. Current
management involves non-pharmacological interventions and commonly used
pharmacological treatments that generally have limited analgesic efficacy and multiple side
effects. New treatments are therefore required to relieve patient symptoms and disease
