This study deals with some physical and chemical properties of 29 apple genotypes
selected from Yağlıdere district for two years (2013-2014). The inspected genotypes had a
range of 42.99-244.12 g for fruit weight, 48.91-87.62 mm for fruit diameter, 0.73-1.06 for fruit
shape index, 61.8-117.7 N for fruit flesh firmness, 8.40-14.30% for soluble solids content and
0.16-1.08% for titratable acidity. In addition, first bloom date of the genotypes ranged from 2

The inspected genotypes had a range of 42.99-244.12 g for fruit weight, 48.91-87.62 mm for fruit diameter, 0.73-1.06 for fruit shape index, 61.8-117.7 N for fruit flesh firmness, 8.40-14.30% for soluble solids content and 0.16-1.08% for titratable acidity. In addition, first bloom date of the genotypes ranged from 2 April to 11 May. The number of day from the full flowering to harvest time was observed between 138 and 188 day. Based on fruit weight, fruit diameter and flesh firmness, 28 YD 14 and 28 YD 37 had better values than others. 28 YD 27 had higher contents of chemical. Findings indicated that the county had rich variety in apple genetic resources.
