초록 변비는 임상에서 가장 흔히 접하는 소화기 증상 중 하나이지만 다양한 증상을 변비라고
호소하기 때문에 환자들이 말하는 변비의 의미를 명확하게 알아둘 필요가 있다. 최근 들어
변비의 병태생리에 대한 연구가 활발해지고 국내에서도 임상에서 소화관운동검사법들이
소개되면서 만성 변비의 병태 생리기전을 정확하게 진단할 수 있게 되었다. 변비의 치료는
병태생리를 근거한 치료법이 바람직하며 단기간 치료 효과보다는 시간이 소요되더라도
정상적인 배변 습관을 되찾도록 환자를 돕는 것이 필요하다.
