Objective.—To compare efficacy and safety of tacrine hydrochloride with placebo in patients
with probable Alzheimer's disease. Design.—A 12-week, double-blind, placebo-controlled,
parallel-group study. Setting.—Outpatients at 23 centers. Patients.—Men and women with
