A novel method for preparing copper nanorods and nanowires
Vacuum vapor deposition of copper nanorods and nanowires (see Figure) is reported. This
novel one‐step procedure involves copper vapor generation and redeposition on a
substrate under very low pressure or vacuum conditions. Nanorods and nanowires of a
variety of materials apart from copper, eg, other metals, alloys, and semiconductors, can also
be synthesized using this method.
