This work presents suggestions for Serbian nomenclature for 92 Odonata species which can
be found in the states of the Balkan Peninsula and adjacent territories of Hungary and
Romania. Sixty-seven species are chosen in particular because of written notes about their
discovery on the territory of Serbia. Comments on the names suggested are made with the
previously existing Serbian vernacular names for this group of insects in mind.
