Myalgic encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) is a debilitating disease of
a unknown cause without a specific biomarker for the respective diagnostic. Here we
analyzed anti-viral antibody data from healthy controls, patients with multiple sclerosis, and
patients with ME/CFS. Finite mixture models based on flexible skew Normal and skew
distributions were first fitted to the data in order to determine the seropositivity to each virus.
