Abstract
The inheritance of coloration in pseudo-ligulate flowers in sunflower in the collection of the Yur’ev Institute of Plant Growing is studied. Only the yellow color, which is the most widespread of all the different types of flower coloring, is found in the first generation. Segregation into phenotypic classes in the ratios 3 : 1 and 9 : 3 : 4 is observed in different cross combinations in the second generation, attesting to a difference in the form with respect to one or two genes, respectively. The study of the inheritance of branchiness and the restoration of the fertility of pollen in the inbred sunflower lines studied revealed monogenic control of differences with respect to these characters. It is established that all the genes that control these characters are inherited independently.
