Background Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection has been associated with
various endocrinopathies. Few literatures have reported cases of transient
hypoparathyroidism in acute COVID-19 infections, or even exacerbation of hypocalcaemia
in previously known hypoparathyroidism patients. The mechanism of hypocalcaemia in
COVID-19 infection remains unclear.
