Objective. To compare the effects of 2 nebulizable controller asthma medications on
caregiver and pediatric quality of life. Methods. In this 52-week, randomized trial, children
aged 2 to 6 years with mild to moderate persistent asthma received budesonide inhalation
suspension 0.5 mg (total daily dose) once or twice daily (n= 168) or cromolyn sodium
nebulizer solution 20 mg 4 times daily (n= 167) for 8 weeks, with dosage adjustment
