Erythropoietin (rHuEPO) has proven to be effective in the treatment of anemia of chronic
renal failure (CRF). Despite improving the quality of life, peak oxygen uptake after rHuEPO
therapy is not improved as much as the increase in hemoglobin concentration ([Hb)] would
