Influence of post-deposition heat treatment on optical properties derived from UV–vis of cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin films deposited on amorphous substrate

In this work, we report on post-deposition heat treatment (annealing)-induced change in
optical properties derived from UV–vis study of CdTe thin films prepared on amorphous
glass substrate by electron beam evaporation technique. Annealing effect gives rise to the
enhancement in crystalline nature (zinc blende structure) of CdTe films with (1 1 1) preferred
orientation. The average transmittance was increased with the annealing temperature and
the slight shift in transmission threshold towards higher wavelength region revealed the …

Influence of postdeposition heat treatment on the properties of electrodeposited Ni− Mo alloy coatings

A Laszczyńska, W Tylus, B Szczygieł, I Szczygieł - Applied Surface Science, 2018 - Elsevier
Ni− 26 wt% Mo alloy coatings were annealed for 1 h in an air atmosphere at temperatures of
200, 400 and 600° C. The influence of heat treatment on the structure and the mechanical
and corrosion properties was investigated. It was found that the coating microhardness
increased significantly after annealing at 200 and 400° C. The results of the scratch test
revealed that. Ni− Mo alloys heated at higher temperatures (400 and 600° C) were
characterized by lower adhesion and more brittle nature in comparison to the as− deposited …
