With the global population crossing 7 billion, the number of deaths from cardiovascular diseases is on the rise. According to WHO report, 17.9 million people die each year from CVDs, representing 31% of all global deaths. Of these deaths, 85% are due to heart attack and stroke. Cardiovascular diseases, the leading cause of premature death in the world include heart attacks, strokes and other circulatory diseases. More than 75% of CVD deaths occur in low-income and middle-income countries. So the challenge is how to provide a health-care monitoring system especially for rural areas which lacks in the established set up of cardio health centers. The scarcity of specialist can partially be solved with sharing the people medical information with professionals, specialists and artificial intelligence health management system on cloud to give information at early stage, which can increase the quality of life and also lessen the risk of death. In this paper we discuss the implementation and design of a monitoring and measurement system based on IoT (internet of things) with Arduino. This system uses Arduino microcontroller with ESP8266 NodeMCU as a WI-FI module which helps to send and store the real time information of patient health to Google firebase.
